At Academic Approach, we rigorously train our instructors to ensure they meet high standards for academic knowledge, teaching experience, and interpersonal skills. We hire professional educators with advanced education and demonstrated teaching experience who successfully mentor students to achieve growth and success. We invest deeply in our instructors and tutors, training them extensively and supporting them with our robust curriculum of skills-based lessons and assessments.
Our experienced tutors engage their students in highly customized one-on-one teaching, guiding them through a personalized program tailored to their individual learning styles and specific academic needs. Navigating the admissions process can be difficult, so individual tutoring helps strengthen student performance as well as provides a mentor to support your student throughout the admissions in growing both their scores and their self-confidence.
Our classroom instructors are enthusiastic about making test preparation a learning moment. Instructors are diligent in making sure they understand students’ academic strengths, academic areas of need, post-high school goals, and extra-curricular interests. They exercise their creativity as they continually look for ways to connect lesson topics to student interests. True growth happens when instructors establish a relationship, and students recognize that the instructor’s commitment extends beyond test day performance. All instructors receive 40 hours of training on content and Academic Approach curriculum in addition to nine hours of training on classroom best practices and on-going observations.
