Alaine Johnson is the East Coast Manager of School Partnerships at Academic Approach. In this role, she works with new and existing school partners to ensure implementation fidelity and maintain program quality. Prior to joining Academic Approach, Alaine was a public school teacher, research assistant, and curriculum developer. She was most recently the Associate Director of Middle School Programming at the Harlem Educational Activities Fund, where she managed an enrichment program serving 200 students from Harlem, Brooklyn and the Bronx. Alaine graduated from Mt. Holyoke College with a degree in Italian and anthropology. She also holds an M.S.Ed. in literacy from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, where she received the master’s program award for excellence in research. Alaine enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family (including her 3 cats!).
