School Programs

Marina Kalinichev currently serves as the Associate Manager of School Programs. In this role she coordinates with Chicago Public Schools partners and manages the logistics of SAT, ACT, and Middle School classroom instruction, testing, and professional development. She also works with the curriculum team and previously was a one-on-one tutor and a classroom instructor.

Prior to her work at Academic Approach, Marina was a middle and high school mathematics teacher in New York City, Berlin, and Chicago. In Berlin she also coordinated the Cambridge International Examinations and spearheaded school efforts for building a school-wide bilingual pedagogy. She earned a Master of Science degree in Mathematics Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology.

Marina’s professional pursuits are the manifestation of her passions for math, education, and cooperative challenges. She speaks Russian, German, and English, and in her spare time you’ll find her playing strategy board games with her friends and family.
