Rachel Sylvan.

Program Administrator

Operations | Resource Management

Rachel Sylvan currently serves as the Program Administrator for the North Shore area. Prior to joining Academic Approach, Rachel worked in many fields pertaining to her arts education. Rachel worked for The Art Institute of Chicago, the National Hellenic Museum, and Fred Astaire Dance Studios, before working 1-on-1 with primarily Autistic children.

Rachel earned a Master of Fine Art with an emphasis in Drawing and Printmaking from Memphis College of Art in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in Drawing and a minor in Renaissance Art History. Rachel is currently working towards a degree in American Sign Language Interpreting. During her studies, she lived in seven countries, and likes to stay in touch using their native languages. In her free time, Rachel continues to study these languages and likes to find time to read and draw by the lake.
