Sean Wesslund currently serves as Director of Talent Success. In this role, Sean leads the development and execution of recruitment, retention, and School Programs staffing initiatives; assists in the development and communication of company policies; and supports senior leadership in the organization and communication of complex information throughout the company.
Sean originally joined Academic Approach in 2014 as a 1-on-1 Tutor, and he joined the full-time administrative team in 2019 as an Associate Director of 1-on-1. He transitioned to a predominantly HR-focused role in 2020. Sean holds a B.A. in Communications from Northwestern University and an M.F.A. in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University. When he’s not working at Academic Approach, Sean can be found on stages and screens in Chicagoland or at home in Highland Park with his beautiful wife, young children, and tiny dogs.
