A Top College Reinstates the SAT

The New York Times made waves this week when they published the article “A Top College Reinstates the SAT: Why other schools may follow Dartmouth’s lead” following the announcement from Dartmouth that they will reinstate its SAT/ACT requirement.

Dartmouth’s decision to require standardized test scores from applicants will go into effect next year and was based on an internal study that found that test scores could have helped admit more first-generation students and students from low-income families, as well as students from high schools without pre-established records of sending students to Dartmouth.
