ACT has officially opened registration for all testing dates now through July 2026! While it’s great that students are able to sign up for testing dates so far in advance, it does mean that spots may be harder to secure if students wait too long to sign up. Students who wait too long to sign up for a testing day may find that all of the testing sites closest to them are filled, and be forced to drive more than an hour away to find a testing site with availability.
Therefore, it is more important than ever for students and families to sit down before school starts to discuss their student’s ACT preparation plans, including pulling out the calendar and scoping out potential testing dates. We recommend planning enough time for your student to take the ACT twice, in case they don’t receive their intended score the first time. And of course, we recommend starting ACT tutoring as soon as possible to make sure your student is prepared for their testing dates.
Remember that students who want to take the newly-optional Science section will need to register for that (as well as the optional Writing section). All students will be taking the Enhanced ACT, regardless if they are taking a digital or paper-and-pencil test.
Unsure where to start or what testing dates to consider? Wondering if your student should take the ACT or SAT? Curious about the changes to the Enhanced ACT? Give us a call and one of our expert directors can answer all of your questions.
