Yale joins the ever-growing list of universities reinstating SAT/ACT score requirements. Yale’s decision, like its fellow Ivy Leaguer Dartmouth, follows a reevaluation of its COVID-necessitated “test optional” policy. Further study of the “test optional” policy revealed it disporportionally denied admissions to lower-income families when test scores could have improved their overall eligibility.
